The premier ice climbing event in the U.S. is upon us. the 14th Annual Ouray Ice Festival begins Thursday Evening, January 8th.
This premiere ice climbing event is known as the best in world and brings people, both climbers and non-climbers, from around the world to Ouray, CO. Co-sponsoring the event with the Ouray Ice Park is Asolo Boots and Rock and Ice Magazine. The Ouray Ice Festival offers clinics hosted by elite athletes with free use of the latest gear. There are several daily events including Ice Axe Throwing and Screaming Barfies Competition, evening presentations, Kid’s Climbing College and mingling with the world’s best climbers.

I've only visited Ouray in the summer. The ice festival sounds like fun. I'd love to see "snowy" Ouray.
